When God's Love is in Me, I...
I endure long and am patient and kind...I am not envious or jealous or boastful or vainglorious (def: showing excessive pride and self-satisfaction in one's achievements, possessions, or abilities; excessive pride in oneself or one's achievements; excessive vanity, pride in or admiration of one's own appearance or achievements)
I am not haughty (def: arrogantly superior and disdainful);
I am not conceited (def: arrogant and inflated with pride);
I am not rude (def: unmannerly, offensively impolite, having a startling abruptness, lacking subtlety).
I don't act unbecomingly (inappropriate); I don't insist on my own rights or my own way; I am not self-seeking; I am not touchy or fretful or resentful.
I pay no attention to suffered wrongs and don't keep a record of them.
I don't rejoice at injustice or unrighteousness but I rejoice when right and truth and mercy prevail.
I bear up under anything and everything that comes; I am always ready to believe the best of everyone; I am hopeful under all circumstances and I endure everything without weakening.
Human Love Vs: God's Love
Human love is fragile and fickle. God's love is strong and sure.
Human love is a ride on a rickety old roller-coaster. God's love is a cross-country road trip in a brand new Cadillac.
Human love is easily swayed. God's love is unconditional.
Human love takes sides. God's love is impartial.
Human love is careful and suspicious. God's love trusts and confides.
Human love watches it's own back. God's love watches yours.
Human love is self-seeking. God's love is self-sacrificing.
Human love grows weary. God's love suffers long and endures.
Human love gets jealous. God's love stays secure.
Human love keeps a record of wrongs. God's love keeps on forgiving.
Human loves gives up. God's love NEVER does!!
1 Corinthians 13:4-8 (AMP)
4 Love endures long and is patient and kind; love never is envious nor boils over with jealousy, is not boastful or vainglorious, does not display itself haughtily.
5 It is not conceited (arrogant and inflated with pride); it is not rude (unmannerly) and does not act unbecomingly. Love (God’s love in us) does not insist on its own rights or its own way, for it is not self-seeking; it is not touchy or fretful or resentful; it takes no account of the evil done to it [it pays no attention to a suffered wrong].
6 It does not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness, but rejoices when right and truth prevail.
7 Love bears up under anything and
everything that comes, is ever ready to believe the best of every
person, its hopes are fadeless under all circumstances, and it endures
everything [without weakening].
